Agency continues growth strategy with acquisition
Property management firm Quicklet has strengthened its Scottish footprint through the strategic acquisition of rental portfolios from LinnMac and Investment Lettings, marking another milestone in the company's Edinburgh expansion.
Albany Lettings, Quicklet's established Edinburgh operation, will assume management responsibilities for the acquired properties, significantly expanding the group's asset base while consolidating its competitive position within Scotland's rental market.
Since its establishment by co-founders Gavin McEvoy and Dermot O'Hanlon, Quicklet has pursued a disciplined expansion model combining organic portfolio development with selective acquisitions. This transaction represents the latest execution of that strategy, prioritizing operational consistency alongside geographic reach.
Reflecting on the acquisition, Gavin McEvoy, co-founder of Quicklet, emphasized continuity: "This transaction advances the momentum we've systematically built in recent years.
"Our operational philosophy centers on delivering professional property management underpinned by robust processes and rigorous standards.
"Strengthening our Edinburgh presence through Albany Lettings enables us to extend that framework while ensuring landlords and tenants experience seamless service delivery."
Co-founder Dermot O'Hanlon articulated the company's measured approach to scaling: "Our expansion strategy prioritizes sustainable infrastructure over volume metrics. We're building organizational capacity that supports quality management at scale.
"Every acquisition undergoes thorough evaluation with emphasis on operational continuity, ensuring minimal disruption as portfolios transition into our management framework."
To facilitate seamless integration, Angie McIntosh, senior property manager from LinnMac, will transition to the Albany Lettings team. Her appointment ensures retention of institutional knowledge regarding property specifics, landlord relationships, and tenant requirements.
This acquisition extends Quicklet Group's recent portfolio expansion activity, which includes the September 2024 additions of Robert Wilson Estate Agency's 180-property portfolio in Northern Ireland and Keyone Property's 86-unit Belfast portfolio.
