Sir David Beckham appears to have extended a virtual olive branch to his estranged son Brooklyn as the reported family divide storms on.
In a new Instagram story, the former footballer, 50, celebrated his Major League Soccer team, Inter Miami, winning the title with a photo of him posing with the giant trophy alongside Victoria, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
Underneath it, however, he also included a throwback photo of him with all his sons when the team he was playing for in 2011 and 2012, LA Galaxy, won the same cup.
The caption of the entire post reads: ‘License to cry.’
It has been months since Victoria and David’s eldest, 26, has been seen with the Beckham family.
In that time, he has missed several major family milestones, including dad David’s 50th birthday celebrations, his long-awaited knighthood ceremony, as well as mum Victoria’s Netflix show premiere.

Meanwhile, the aspiring chef continues to build a life with his wife Nicola Peltz, in LA, with rumours that he had even covered up a tattoo dedicated to his mum.
It is unclear exactly what has caused the rupture between the historically tight-knit clan, but there has been speculation over tension at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding in 2022.
Sir David’s latest nod to his son on his social media comes after brother Cruz, 20, also extended his own social media branch earlier this month, following a series of swipes.
In a similar approach to his dad, Cruz also re-shared an old image of the trio of brothers to his story with the caption: ‘Love you guys’.
Meanwhile, in November, the Spice Girls star, 51, shared a festive post of the family stockings hung up around the fireplace, including Brooklyn’s.
Earlier in November, sources claimed Brooklyn and Nicola were ready to make amends, with others close to David and Victoria sharing they also wanted to bridge the gap.

A source told Metro: ‘They’d love to have him back in the picture, but feel as if there are things to hash out in their relationship.
‘They want to move forward as a family and could be open to hearing Brooklyn’s side of things.’
Another insider had told the Daily Mail that the couple ‘did nothing that would have deserved this treatment’.

‘It is hard to understand the intensity and the escalation [of the media stories]. It seems that they thought they could heap abuse on Nicola without any consequence. They did not let up.
‘There was a public trashing which kept on going. Someone should have told them to stop because it was not in their best interest to do this to their own son, but nobody did,’ they said.
As we approach the Christmas period, time will tell if the family’s social media reach-outs to Brooklyn will bring him back into the fold.
