Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego took aim at Republican Rep. Andy Biggs, who also represents the state, for criticizing Bad Bunny's Half Time Super Bowl show.

Biggs said in a social media publication that "Americans have had enough of woke garbage pushed by the Left" and highlighted an alternative show by Turning Point USA.

Gallego, on his end, noted that Biggs is running to be Arizona's next governor, and the state has a large Latino population, the ethnicity of Bad Bunny.

"Guy is running to be Governor of a state that is 33% Latino considers Latino music "woke". Good luck with that general election in 2026," Gallego said in a social media publication of his own. A November poll showed Biggs as the frontrunner for the Republican primary in Arizona with 50% of the support.

Gallego celebrated the show and highlighted different parts of it. "That was beautiful, it is the most Latino thing I have ever seen on TV. There are many of us that were tearing up with Pride. Orgullo Latino!" he said in another post.

The Puerto Rican singer highlighted his roots throughout the show. He took almost a minute to recite the names of all the countries of the American continent, from Canada to Argentina, including the English-speaking Caribbean islands. Behind him followed dancers with all the flags.

While cameramen struggled to capture the production, which according to official Roc Nation figures cost $50 million, the electronic banners at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, outside of San Francisco, displayed the lyrics of the songs in Spanish and closed with the message that the Puerto Rican artist had said at the Grammys: "The only thing stronger than hate is love."

He used light poles as part of the set design, demonstrating that he hasn't forgotten the energy crisis in Puerto Rico, which worsened after Hurricane Maria in 2017. He also shared his love for Puerto Rico, its culture (which he shares with all Caribbean countries and others in Latin America), its music and its customs.

In their presentation there were sugarcane cutters, manicurists, boxers, jewelers buying gold, men playing dominoes, dancing, ladies chatting, children sleeping in chairs during a party.
